Icicle Creek Chamber Music Institute
Concurrent with the Chamber Music Festival, the Institute brings students and young professionals to the Icicle Creek campus for intensive study and performance with resident and guest artists. The Institute and Festival create a community of musicians whose musical explorations produce concerts for the public to enjoy. The students and young professionals of the Institute participate in Festival concerts as the Institute Chamber Orchestra and are featured in afternoon concerts of selected chamber masterworks.
Icicle Creek Youth Symphony
The Icicle Creek Youth Symphony is comprised of student musicians, ranging in age from 8 to 21, from across the North Central Washington region. The program currently offers two orchestras: the Icicle Creek Academy Orchestra, a string ensemble led by Kara Hunnicutt for students with little or no orchestral experience; and the Icicle Creek Youth Symphony Orchestra, led by resident conductor Jeremy Briggs Roberts, which provides intermediate to advanced orchestral musicians with the experience of rehearsing and performing great compositions in an atmosphere that both nurtures and challenges their skills.
Icicle Creek Summer Symphony
The summer session of the Youth Symphony, Icicle Creek Summer Symphony, is a fun, week-long orchestral day camp held on the Icicle Creek Music Center campus, for students from all over Washington State. The Summer Symphony program includes a Symphony Orchestra, coached Chamber Ensembles, and an Academy Orchestra for students just getting started on their instruments. Faculty members are top music educators and performers from the North Central Washington region and beyond.
Private Lessons
Mastering an instrument in youth is a challenging discipline, rewarding pastime and inspires lifelong enjoyment. One-on-one lessons offer focused attention and individual study plans with Icicle Creek resident artists. We offer private lessons in violin, viola, cello and piano in our studios in Leavenworth. College credit may be available through a partnership with Wenatchee Valley College.
Retreats
Icicle Creek Music Center welcomes a variety of music organizations and educators to its campus for retreats, institutes, and seminars. Our facilities are designed specifically for educational and retreat experiences tailored to the needs of musicians.
